As Palm Beach Dramaworks celebrates their re-opening and an exciting new season in December, we want to share an update on the significant impact they make on students in our community.
A message from Gary Cadwallader, Director of Education and Community Engagement, Palm Beach Dramaworks
“In 2016 we were honored to receive the Impact The Palm Beaches $100,000 grant to create the One Humanity Tour, a multi-faceted touring program focused on making responsible decisions. This program which is a play, a talkback, and classwork is centered on a young boy, a police officer, and a shop owner whose lives intersect with tragic consequences. This show has been extraordinarily well received and has now played to over 19,600 6th grade students.
We want to thank Impact The Palm Beaches for helping us reach young people and for giving us the courage and the school contacts to create a 7th-grade touring production centered on teen human trafficking awareness. Thank you for the impact you've made on thousands of middle school students in Palm Beach County and for giving us the opportunity to create a program to critically think through topics that are very important to young people.”
