June 2024 - Meet the New Presidents!

Updated: Jun 13

Impact’s June member spotlight celebrates our three new Impact the Palm Beaches’ Presidents, three accomplished and compassionate women who will guide us through our best season yet!

Founding member, Christine DelVecchio was born in Flushing, New York and moved to Broward County at an early age, spending her formative years in South Florida.  She now resides in Jupiter Farms where she enjoys boating with family and friends, shopping in local boutiques, and all things Impact.

As a Senior Vice President and Private Client Manager with Bank of America Private Bank, Christine is all about professional client service and ensuring that clients’ needs are met.  She has applied these skills in a variety of leadership positions with Impact, most recently as Co-Chair of Membership in the 2023-2024 season where grew membership for the 9th year in a row (to 396 members!).

Christine joined Impact because of her deep desire to make a difference in her local community.  “In 2015, Bridget Baratta and Deborah Johnson (our Chapter’s Founders) invited me to a meeting to see if we could launch this new chapter in 90 days with 100 women and we did it!  Impact has been an essential part of my life ever since.  Not only do I feel part of an amazing group of dynamic women, I know my work and commitment are making a difference in the community that my family calls home.”

Lisa Johnson is also a founding member and part of the Impact the Palm Beaches launch team.  Lisa was born in Albany, New York and moved to Florida at eight years old.  Lisa is the CEO of the Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida. This year she will celebrate 28 years as a professional Girl Scout and eight as CEO.  She currently lives in Wellington and enjoys riding bikes with her husband and traveling to Major League Baseball stadiums with a goal to see a game in every single MLB stadium.  She is the proud Mom of two sons and four rescued cats.

“When Deborah Johnson shared her vision and invited me to join her, I immediately said yes. As a nonprofit leader in our community, and especially one that is committed to developing the female leaders of the future, I understand and appreciate the importance of philanthropy and investing locally in programs that change lives. The opportunity to be part of this work over the last nine years, and the incredible women I get to do it with, has been a gift, and continues to inspire me."

Grace Kurian joined Impact in 2018.  Born in India, Grace was raised in South Florida from the age of 10.  Grace is Vice President of Information Technology Infrastructure & Operations, NextEra Energy, Inc.  She currently lives in Palm Beach Gardens and enjoys spending time with her “big” Indian family, traveling, walking, and discovering new dining spots.  Grace’s mom is one of seven kids and her dad is one of 11 so she has a lot of cousins and extended family that keep her life exciting and busy.  One of her favorite quotes is, “To whom much is given, much is required.”

“I was introduced to Deborah Johnson, founding member of Impact the Palm Beaches, through a colleague at work.  It is hard not to join Impact the Palm Beaches after you hear Deborah’s inspirational journey to encourage women to give collectively.  I have never regretted the decision to join as I have met lifelong friends and extremely capable women through the Impact the Palm Beaches community.”
